How to start page numbering from page two?

Sometimes, when you work on a word document with a title page or cover page in Kingsoft Writer, you don't want the first page to have a page number. Instead, you may prefer to start page numbering from second page.

For Title Page

If you are using a title page, you can follow these steps to insert page numbers from page two. There are two steps:
  • Remove / Hide page number on first page
  • Start page numbering at 0
Remove / Hide page number on first page
  • Click Insert tab, find Page Numbers option in Header&Footer group and click.
  • In the Page Numbers dialog box, clear the check box before Show number on first page
In this way, page number will be hidden on the first page of your document.
 
Start page numbering at 0
  • In Page Numbers dialog box, click More
  • Under Page numbering, type 0 in Start at box.
In this way, the page numbers will start at 1 at the second page.

For Cover Page


If you are using a cover page, in order to hide the page number from cover page, you can follow these steps:
  • Click anywhere on the cover page and go to Insert > Page Numbers
  • Clear the check box before Show number on first page
  • Select This Section in the Apply to list. 
  • Click any where on your content pages and in Page Numbers dialog box, select the Show number on first page check box and select This Section in the Apply to list.
